Commission in April 1909 (42nd<\/sup> year of the Meiji period). There surviving documents \u00a0consist a commission form, notice regarding the revision of lyrics, lyrics sheet, musical score, and cover letter for payment receipt.<\/p>\n

The notice for the revision of lyrics requested modifications in the lyrics because the lyrics sent by the school (client) did not match the music. Corrections done in pencil were also found on the original lyrics sheet.<\/p>\n

The lyricist was the principal of the school, and the school had been certified as a senior commercial school the day he assumed this post (1908). The music composer was an assistant professor at the Tokyo Academy of Music at the time.<\/p>\n

Along with the lyrics, instructions regarding corrections to meet word count requirements were also found in the original manuscript. However, as post-correction material could not be located, the lyrics were replicated according to the original version.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
